Lawyers See GGP Court Ruling Regarding Special Purpose Entities as an Isolated Occurrence

Adam Weissburg provided commentary for this article regarding a recent ruling  by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court  which allowed General Growth Properties, a Chicago-based REIT, to include a number of properties held by special purpose entities (SPEs) in its bankruptcy filing, in spite of the fact that these properties were not experiencing financial distress.
