Cox, Castle and Nicholson LLP Names Four New Partners for 2013

Los Angeles, CA (January 1, 2013) – Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, which has one of the largest concentrations of attorneys in the U.S. whose primary focus is the real estate industry, is pleased to announce the election of four new partners, all located in the firm’s Los Angeles office: Dwayne McKenzie, Kevin S. Kinigstein, Matthew L. Levy and Adriana Vesci. Their election brings the number of partners at the firm to 78.

“We are incredibly pleased to add four new partners who exemplify excellence in law and client service,” said Mario Camara, the senior partner on Cox Castle’s Executive Committee. “They have distinguished themselves with their commitment to the firm and the legal community.  We congratulate them on their well-deserved career milestone.”

Dwayne McKenzie

A member of the firm's Labor and Employment Relations practice, McKenzie specializes in general employment law, labor relations, ERISA and other employee benefits matters. He counsels employers on day-to-day employee relations and risk management, and represents them in both state and federal court, handling class action litigation and defending them against cases alleging wrongful termination, sex and race discrimination, trade secret infringement and various other employment and business-related issues.  He is a 1991 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also earned his Juris Doctor in 1994, graduating Order of the Coif.

Kevin Kinigstein

Kinigstein handles complex commercial real estate transactions for public pension funds, senior housing operators, private investments funds, owners, operators and developers.  He is known for his experience structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and financing transactions.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at San Diego in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 1999.

Matthew Levy

Levy works with a broad range of institutional and private clients, with a practice focused on acquisitions, sales and development matters. He has extensive experience with structuring, negotiating and documenting complex real estate joint ventures and financing and has worked with many types of real estate, from hotel and retail to multi-family and mixed-use projects. The former general counsel of Regent Properties, Levy graduated from Northwestern University in 1993 and earned his Juris Doctor in 1998 from the University of California, Los Angeles, and graduating Order of the Coif.

Adriana Vesci

Vesci represents investors, developers and lenders in a variety of real estate transactions, including property development, acquisition, construction financing, sale leaseback and preferred equity transactions. She has experience with a variety of property types such as raw land, retail, industrial, office, single and multi-family residences, hotels and medical office buildings. Vesci is a 1998 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and earned her law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002.
