Overview

Amanda practices in the area of commercial real estate finance, specializing in representing different types of lenders, including national and regional banks, insurance companies and private lenders, in connection with real estate financing transactions.  Amanda has experience with a wide variety of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition and development loans, bridge loans, construction loans and mezzanine loans, and a broad range of product types, including commercial, multi-family, hotel and retail projects.  She also has experience with loan assumptions and loan modifications.  Throughout the course of a transaction, Amanda drafts and negotiates loan documents, analyzes diligence materials and coordinates transaction logistics and closings.

While at University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, Amanda held the position of Chief Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review and was selected as a Lawyering Skills Writing Advisor.  Additionally, she served as a Research Assistant for UCLA School of Law and for Duke University Department of Psychology and was an intern with the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Experience

Represented a mortgage lender in connection with a $450,000,000 construction loan secured by a to-be-built life sciences building in California. 

Represented a lender in connection with a $220,000,000 loan secured by an office building in Downtown Los Angeles, California. 

Represented mezzanine lender in connection with mezzanine loans throughout the United States. 

Represented an insurance company in connection with a $371,000,000 loan secured by an office building in San Francisco, California. 

Represented a lender in connection with the assumption of a $150,000,000 loan secured by a hotel in Orange County, California. 

Represented a national bank in connection with the modification of a $345,000,000 portfolio loan. 

Represented a mortgage lender in a multi-state portfolio transaction of 16 multi-family assets syndicated among a group of non-US based lenders. 

Represented a mortgage lender in connection with a $78,000,000 construction loan secured by a to-be-built hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.   

Represented a mortgage lender in connection with a $525,000,000 loan secured by a mall in Commerce, California.
