Overview
Lisa's clients rely on her for the processing of land use entitlements before governmental agencies. She has counseled residential and commercial developers, non-profit organizations, industrial operators, renewable energy companies, and major educational institutions in navigating California's complex land use entitlement and environmental review process.
Governmental Relations
Lisa has extensive experience processing and defending land use entitlements throughout California, and in particular in the unincorporated County of Los Angeles. She has worked on most of the major land use cases in the County over the last decade, including master-planned communities for major residential developers, infill housing and mixed-use projects, transit-oriented developments involving the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority, retail commercial centers for national retailers, assisted living facilities, hotels, and major industrial projects. Her experience and understanding of the political context of land use development translates to other jurisdictions.
Subdivision Map Act, Transit-Oriented and Infill Development, Landfills, and Energy Expertise
As a result of her work with developers of master planned communities, Lisa has established herself as an expert in the Subdivision Map Act. In addition, she was part of the team that secured land use entitlements to redevelop public and private property at Metro's LAX/Aviation Green Line Station, which gave her experience on issues impacting infill and transit-oriented projects. Similarly, through her representation of industrial clients, Lisa is involved in land use issues impacting utility-scale solar projects, oil and gas development, and landfill operations.
