Overview

As general counsel, Michael provides guidance to the firm’s attorneys on a wide range of matters, including client intake, legal ethics and professional responsibility, engagement management, and policy development and compliance. 

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was assistant general counsel at Berkeley Research Group, where he provided strategic advice to senior professionals on risk management and regulatory compliance issues. He also previously held significant roles managing complex litigation at full-service law firms, where he represented clients in a broad spectrum of matters involving antitrust, healthcare, internet, retail and intellectual property issues.

Michael earned his juris doctor from UCLA School of Law, where he served as an editor of the UCLA Law Review and on the editorial board of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal. He graduated magna cum laude from University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in accounting.
