Jason is a leading litigator whose practice focuses on insurance law and risk management, construction law, and business and civil litigation.

Insurance Recovery & Risk Management

Jason is a leader of Cox Castle’s Corporate Insurance Recovery & Risk Management Practice. He represents policyholders against insurance companies in the pursuit of coverage. He also provides strategic counsel regarding contractual risk transfer and the structuring and implementation of complex insurance programs. Jason has extensive experience with residential and commercial owner controlled (OCIP) and contractor controlled (CCIP) insurance programs and other nuanced liability and property insurance programs. He is also a licensed property and casualty insurance broker and certified Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS).

Construction Law

Jason has extensive experience representing developers, contractors, subcontractors, designers, and other construction professionals through all phases of the construction process. He has a wealth of expertise in contract negotiation, procurement and evaluation of insurance programs, project delays, defects, insurance claims, and disputes.

Jason is a published author and highly sought-after speaker at seminars on topics relating to construction and insurance risk and management. Jason also serves as a mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He has significant trial and arbitration experience and serves as outside counsel to a variety of corporate clients on business and construction matters. 

Experience

First chaired trial against a major corporation represented by an international law firm leading to favorable interpretation of complex partnership agreement which resulted in tens of millions in recovery to developer client. 

Secured a jury verdict against the nation’s largest health insurance company for wrongful denial of a liver transplant.

Secured a judgment in a Federal Court trial on behalf of one of the world’s largest agricultural processors
