Cox, Castle & Nicholson Represents XLD Group LLC in $150 Million Acquisition of Los Angeles Airport Marriott
Los Angeles – (December 23, 2014) – Cox, Castle & Nicholson, one of the largest full-service law firms focused on real estate in the United States, represented XLD Group LLC (XLD Group) in its purchase of the 1,004-room Los Angeles Airport Marriott from DiamondRock Hospitality Company for $150 million. On Wednesday, December 24, 2014, XLD Group, the U.S. subsidiary of Chinese hotel investment company Sichuan Xinglida Group Enterprises, will host a hotel acquisition celebration onsite at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott to recognize the success of its acquisition team. As a member of XLD Group’s acquisition team, Greg Karns, partner at Cox Castle & Nicholson, will be available at the event for comment
“The Los Angeles Airport Marriott acquisition represents XLD Group’s second significant Marriott purchase in Los Angeles County, following the firm’s November 2013 purchase of the 487-room Torrance Marriott South Bay from the same seller,” said Karns, who manages Cox, Castle & Nicholson’s Pacific Rim Group. “XLD Group’s Los Angeles Airport Marriott purchase originated from its Torrance acquisition and the pair of purchases strategically positions the investment company as the owner of a significant percentage of Marriott’s rooms in the greater Los Angeles International Airport area.”
XLD Group’s December 24, 2014 event will take place from 10:30am to 1:30pm at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott at 5855 West Century Boulevard is Los Angeles. The event will begin with a mixer and press conference after which attendees will hear from Bridget Blinski, regional manager of Marriott Hotels; Jun Zhang, chairman of XLD Group; Hon Jian Liu, consul general of PR China in Los Angeles; and Jianyin Peng, general manager of Wing Lung Bank in Los Angeles.
