Top Land Use Attorneys
In its April 27, 2011 issue, the Daily Journal named Cox Castle & Nicholson partner R. Clark Morrison as one of California “Top Land Use Attorneys.” The article noted that Morrison is working on a comprehensive habitat conservation plan for the California desert with the California Wind Energy Association. “Environmentalists don’t want the desert covered with solar panels, but they know they have to do something about greenhouse gases,” Morrison said. “Here, renewable energy companies and environmentalists are working together to make this happen.”
The profile also reported that Morrison helped to secure the permitting for the U.C. Merced campus, and that he is working on the Bay Delta habitat conservation plan, and a 1,000 home golf course community development in Vacaville. “My favorite part of the practice is dispute resolution and negotiating settlements with various agencies,” he said.
