Andrew Sabey is representing defendants in a case that was the subject of a Law360 article published on August 8, 2012, Sierra Club v. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. According to the article, the Sierra Club and Friends of the West Shore asked a federal judge to halt the expansion of a Lake Tahoe resort, alleging that Placer County unlawfully approved changes to a regional plan to push the project through.

Citing the text of the suit, the article says that one of the defendants, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, approved the expansion of Homewood Mountain Resort because it would provide both environmental benefits and economic benefits, both during construction and via increased business by the expanded resort.

The project involves upgrading the resort's ski facilities, increasing residential units, and adding a new lodge, outdoor amphitheater, ice skating rink, swimming pool and miniature golf course.
