On April 28, 2011, North American Windpower reported that wind energy has increasingly received negative publicity as a result of the economy, U.S. budget difficulties and conservative activism. Cox Castle & Nicholson partner Anne Mudge, who represents wind energy developers, advises wind energy advocates to “Continue to demonstrate what is the truth – that there are economic benefits to wind, that it brings jobs, that it increases the property tax base and that it doesn’t take much in the way of government services.”
