R. Clark Morrison was quoted in an April 11, 2012 article about the Center for Biological Diversity, a nonprofit environmental group, suing the government in federal court, accusing it of failing to put together a plan to protect the California Tiger Salamander from dangers associated with development.
According to Morrison, development costs associated with the salamander are “really, really extraordinary.” Developers must go through a two-to-three year process in which they survey the land for the salamander, then buy off site property to set aside for the creatures, he said.
