A series of hotly contested Bay Area emissions standards that legal observers say may be adopted by other local governments as they try to comply with California’s sustainable development goals has moved closer to full legal approval.

Cox Castle & Nicholson's Andrew Sabey was mentioned in a July 12, 2011 issue of the Daily Journal regarding a series of emission standards based on his representation of the Building Industry Association in California.  He told the Daily Journal that  “people should be concerned.”  He also told the publication that the action is being closely watched by builders throughout the state and the case could result in unwarranted regulation for the industry.
