Amy Wells Named Among “2018 Women In Real Estate” By Connect Media
LOS ANGELES – (Nov. 14, 2018) – Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP (CCN), an award-winning full-service law firm focused on real estate in the United States, proudly announces that partner Amy Wells is recognized as one of Connect Media’s “2018 Women in Real Estate.” The award honors 50 standout professionals selected from more than 300 nominations nationwide across all sectors of the commercial real estate industry. Wells represents one of 10 California winners.
Wells is head of the Institutional Investor practice at CCN. In this leadership capacity, Wells helped champion myriad national and international client commitments in real estate valued at more than $3.4 billion across all product types in the last 12 months. Since joining the firm in 1988, she has developed a nationally recognized institutional investment practice group by expanding the Firm’s representation of public pension and sovereign wealth funds. She is one of the few women in the country who serves as lead counsel to many of the nation’s largest public pension funds in their domestic and international investments.
Earlier this year, Wells also was inducted into Real Estate Forum’s “Women of Influence Hall of Fame.” Launched in 2013, the Hall of Fame recognizes women who have risen to the upper echelon of commercial real estate executives, serving as both a success story and a role model for others in the industry. Wells was one of 26 professionals across the U.S. to receive this prestigious recognition in 2018.
“It is humbling to see my name among a roster of such accomplished and influential women in real estate,” said Wells. “I am fortunate to work with talented partners and associates who share the same passion for delivering effective legal counsel to assist institutional investors in all aspects of complex real estate, infrastructure and private equity investments.”
Wells continued, “Such investments serve an important public function: they help generate proceeds needed by public pension funds to pay retirement benefits of teachers, firemen, policemen and other hardworking public employees.”
In addition to Wells’ Connect Media “2018 Women in Real Estate” recognition and Real Estate Forum “Women of Influence Hall of Fame” induction, she also has earned other prestigious awards and industry recognitions throughout her career. They include:
