Lawrence Teplin, Heather Stern and Alicia Vaz will participate as speakers in this MCLE  lunch presentation hosted by the Beverly Hills Bar Association. 

The program will address the following areas: (i) recitals of fact and implications of recitals of fact; (ii) attorney fee clauses -- forms and pros and cons; (iii) liquidated damages clauses -- forms and pros and cons; (iv) jurisdiction and venue provisions including provisions related to service of process; (v) alternative dispute resolution -- forms, and the difference between and the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration and judicial reference; (vi) the use of covenants and conditions; (vii) miscellaneous matters, including the use of registered or certified mail, calculation of days whether by business days or otherwise, incorporation of exhibits into an agreement, and integration clauses; and (viii) special issues with regard to letters of intent.
