Rocky Miller will participate as a speaker in this session discussing the “prevailing wages” requirements in the California construction industry.    The panelist will review (a) when, how and why prevailing wage requirements attach to transactions and contracts; (b) the typical ways in which transactions are structured to minimize the potential applicability of prevailing wage requirements; (c) the remedies available if prevailing wage requirements are imposed after the parties are committed to the transaction or construction contract; and (d) the current state of interpretation of the Prevailing Wage Law by the Department of Industrial Relations and the courts.
