Stan Lamport will be presenting a program titled, "Ethics - Top 10 Considerations in 2012 for Real Estate Lawyers," to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, General Real Estate Subsection on October 3, 2012 in Los Angeles. Below is a description of the session.

Failure to identify and properly handle common ethical problems is one of the most frequent causes of legal malpractice claims against real estate practitioners.  This program will provide practical strategies for lawyers in private practice and in-house lawyers to identify and address these common ethical issues, including conflicts of interest and duties related to the negotiation of real estate transactions.  The program will be presented by a real estate practitioner who is a recognized expert in the field of legal ethics and an experienced insurance broker who specializes in professional liability insurance for the legal profession.
