In addition to his land use and entitlements background, Ron has in-depth experience with entitlements, purchase and sale transactions, leasing, master planned communities, financing, and title and survey matters.

Land Use Advisor For National Land Owners And Developers

Ron works with his clients to develop creative approaches that lead to the client's entitlements in a timely and cost effective manner. This includes identifying CEQA exemptions; carefully reviewing conditions to maps and conditional use permits to ensure clarity and consistency; and determining whether vesting tools are available that will preserve the client's right to build out its project. During this process, Ron has significant experience successfully working with elected officials and staff members at every level of government.

Development Agreements: Specializes in negotiating Development Agreements. Has worked on Development Agreements in many jurisdictions, including Los Angeles (City and County), Culver City, Pleasanton, Escondido, Fillmore, El Segundo, Westlake Village, Ventura, Mennefee, Santa Clarita, Redondo Beach, County of Riverside, Simi Valley, Palmdale, Burbank, Banning, Vacaville, Tracy, Covina, Rancho Cucamonga, Antioch, Camarillo and Goleta.

Movie Studios: Assists movie studios with their entitlement packages and their relationship with local jurisdictions.

Automobile Dealerships: Represents several automobile dealerships with their entitlements and real estate related matters.

Oil and Gas: Represents oil and gas and pipeline companies with their real estate, franchise and entitlement related matters.

California Department of Real Estate First Foreign Subdivision: Successfully achieved the registration of the first foreign subdivision in California, a high end resort located in the Fiji Islands.
